Qiancheng manufactures Coal Mine Power Cables for low-voltage power transmission and equipment connections in underground coal mine applications. The cable uses a copper conductor with XLPE insulation and can be produced with solid or stranded conductor structures according to the required specification. Conductor cross-sections, insulation dimensions and electrical parameters are controlled against the applicable product requirements, with dimensional and electrical inspection carried out before delivery.
For underground mine power projects, cable selection depends on more than conductor size. The required voltage, current-carrying capacity, conductor structure, installation method, mechanical conditions and applicable flame-retardant requirements should be considered together. Qiancheng provides different conductor sizes and construction options so the cable specification can be matched to the actual mine power distribution and equipment connection requirements.
The conductor is made from high-purity copper and is available in solid or stranded construction. The stated conductor cross-sectional range is 1.5~120 mm² for the detailed conductor configuration, while the product dimension table below lists specifications from 10 mm² through 300 mm². The conductor structure varies by specification, with the minimum number of wires, conductor diameter and XLPE insulation thickness defined for each size.
For example, the 1.5 mm² single-core configuration has a conductor outer diameter of 1.36±0.02 mm, while the 1.5(B) stranded configuration uses 7 wires with a conductor outer diameter of 1.56±0.02 mm. XLPE insulation thickness varies from 0.7 mm to 1.2 mm according to the specified conductor size.
| Nominal Section (mm²) | Minimum Number of Conductor Wires | Conductor Outer Diameter (mm) | Nominal Thickness of XLPE Insulation (mm) | Approximate Outer Diameter of Insulation (mm) | Maximum Conductor Resistance at 20℃ (Ω/km), Copper |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 6 | 3.90±0.10 | 1 | 5.9 | 1.83 |
| 16 | 6 | 5.00±0.10 | 1 | 7 | 1.15 |
| 25 | 6 | 6.10±0.10 | 1.2 | 8.5 | 0.727 |
| 35 | 6 | 7.10±0.10 | 1.2 | 9.5 | 0.524 |
| 50 | 6 | 8.20±0.15 | 1.4 | 11 | 0.387 |
| 70 | 12 | 9.80±0.15 | 1.4 | 12.6 | 0.268 |
| 95 | 15 | 11.60±0.15 | 1.6 | 14.8 | 0.193 |
| 120 | 18 | 13.20±0.15 | 1.6 | 16.4 | 0.153 |
| 150 | 18 | 14.80±0.20 | 1.8 | 18.4 | 0.124 |
| 185 | 30 | 16.80±0.20 | 2 | 20.8 | 0.0991 |
| 240 | 34 | 19.40±0.20 | 2.2 | 23.8 | 0.0754 |
| 300 | 42 | 22.00±0.25 | 2.4 | 26.8 |
The conductor resistance values in the table are maximum values at 20℃ for the listed copper specifications. For project selection, conductor cross-section should be matched with the required load current, installation conditions and permissible voltage drop rather than selected by cross-section alone.

The insulation system uses XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene), with a nominal insulation thickness of 0.7~1.2 mm according to the cable specification. The approximate outer diameter of insulation is 3.0~15.8 mm, while the overall finished cable diameter depends on the final cable structure.

| Short-Circuit Temperature | 250℃ |
| Flame Retardancy | Flame retardant grade optional for underground mine |
| Mechanical Performance | Good tensile & abrasion resistance for underground laying |
Flame-retardant construction can be specified for underground mining applications where the project requires additional flame-retardant performance. The applicable cable grade and testing requirements should be confirmed according to the mine installation environment and project specification.
Qiancheng's production process covers raw copper material drawing, conductor stranding, XLPE extrusion and finished cable testing. Conductor dimensions, insulation dimensions and electrical characteristics are checked during production and final inspection according to the applicable specification.
Before shipment, the cable undergoes electrical and dimensional inspection, including the required withstand voltage test. Qiancheng can provide factory test certificates together with dimension and technical parameter reports for the corresponding specification. These records help project purchasers and technical teams verify the delivered cable against the agreed product parameters.
Raw copper material and wire-drawing production photos are available as part of the manufacturing information. Product demonstration videos can also be provided through Qiancheng's YouTube channel to show the production and product details.
The cable is intended for underground coal mine power supply and mine equipment power connections. Typical selection considerations include the connected equipment load, required conductor cross-section, rated voltage, cable routing conditions, mechanical exposure and whether a flame-retardant specification is required.
For applications involving control and signal transmission rather than primary power supply, Qiancheng also provides Control Cables. For overhead power transmission projects, ACSR overhead cable is another product category available from Qiancheng.
When specifying a Coal Mine Power Cables, the following information should be confirmed before production:
Providing these details allows the cable specification to be checked against the actual mine power distribution or equipment connection requirements before an order is confirmed.
