Mining Cables are used for power supply and electrical connections in underground coal mines and other demanding mining environments. Compared with conventional power cables, it is designed for conditions involving repeated movement, bending, abrasion, compression, impact, moisture, and mechanical stress.
Qiancheng supplies MY, MYP, MCP, and MYPTJ series for different mining equipment and underground power applications. Depending on the model, the construction may include flexible copper conductors, rubber insulation, shielding or monitoring components, and a heavy-duty rubber sheath.

MY is used for flexible power connections on mobile equipment. MYP adds a shielding structure for applications requiring shielded power transmission. MCP is used with coal mining machines such as shearers, where frequent movement and mechanical stress are expected. MYPTJ is designed for higher-voltage applications with shielding and monitoring components.
For fixed underground power distribution, a suitable coal mine power cable can be selected according to the voltage and installation method. Mobile equipment requiring repeated movement may use a coal mine flexible trailing cable with the required construction.
Flexible copper conductors are used to accommodate movement, while rubber insulation and sheath materials provide the electrical and mechanical properties required for underground service. Depending on the model, the outer sheath can be designed for resistance to abrasion, oil, tearing, compression, and other mechanical stresses.
Flame-retardant performance is an important consideration for cables used in applicable underground coal mine environments. Shielded constructions can also help manage electrical interference and provide the electrical characteristics required by connected equipment.
Typical applications include coal shearers, belt conveyors, underground pumps, mobile transformers, and other electrically powered mining machinery. The selected cable construction should match the equipment, power system, movement conditions, and installation environment.
Cable selection should start with the equipment and operating conditions. Key information includes equipment type, rated voltage, operating current, conductor cross-section, number of cores, shielding or monitoring requirements, cable length, movement frequency, installation method, environmental conditions, applicable standard, and required certification.
MY can be considered for mobile equipment without a specific shielding requirement, while MYP is used where a shielded construction is required. MCP is associated with coal mining machines such as shearers, and MYPTJ is used for higher-voltage equipment requiring shielding and monitoring functions.
For a quotation, providing the equipment model, system voltage, operating current, cable length, conductor size, core configuration, installation conditions, applicable standard, certification requirements, quantity, and delivery requirements will help determine the appropriate specification.
Qiancheng Cable has manufactured cables since 2000 and operates a production facility covering approximately 200,000 square meters. The factory has more than 700 employees, including over 120 technical personnel involved in research and development, production processes, and quality inspection.
Production and testing cover electrical, mechanical, thermal, and safety-related requirements. Technical specifications, test reports, inspection records, certification documents, and other quality documentation are available according to the selected model and project requirements.
For an underground coal mine or mining equipment project, Qiancheng can review the required model, voltage, conductor size, core configuration, shielding or monitoring structure, applicable standard, certification requirements, quantity, and delivery schedule before production.
